EG 029 - Dj Rollo
The unique perception and uncompromised approach towards music is what really makes Rollo an individual DJ. He is best known for his special energy and vibe while playing, his technical skills on the decks and by the ability he has to render a set which brings about a diverse range of genres into one party. He has open-minded creative style of sounds with regards to music, and he is heading towards a more deep, mature and eclectic crowd out there.

Moshe Rollo Tal was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1979. When he was barely 10 years old he was introduced for the first time to a local radio show that played pioneer electronic music and this evidently changed his life for ever. As a young teenager he used to listen for hours to the radio. He loved the music so much that he wrote every weekly chart on a special note-book, recorded and collected as many tapes as he possibly could. In 1999, after a brief stint at Jerusalem's night life, Rollo landed a night residency at legendary club 'Q', a position that opened many new doors for him and exposed his wide musical range to clubbers from all over Israel, who used to come especially for the sleazy and free vibe he used to create while he was playing.

Now-a-days Rollo continues to push the limits, exploring and taking musical risks. He strives to imprint his own identity and influences to take music one step further. Consistently re-editing the music he plays, programming and making his sets fit the way he feels they should sound on the dance-floor. Rollo can be best described as a strong believer and a visionary DJ, whom with his endless passion for music never feels tireless when it comes to his craft. This attitude helped him over the last several years to play alongside some of the most talented DJ’s in the world, touring abroad, and playing as a Headliner all over Europe, USA and South America.

On the production side, his latest remix of Andre Rozzo’s - 'Storm Warning' (2006) was released on Trackdown Records and received strong support from DJ’s such as: Laurent Garnier and Danny Tenaglia. Teaming up with long time friend Rafi Z., the duo formed Magnetic Soul and released ‘Different Way' on Frik:n:Frak Records (2006), including remixes from the likes of Yann Fontaine, Joshua Collins and Earth Deuley. With a year of intense production under his belt, Rollo is firing on to all directions.

From 2002 to the present day, Rollo has been hosting his own bi-weekly radio show: 'Magnetic Grooves' on one of the biggest radio stations online: www.protonradio.com. In his show he gives different talented DJ's and Producers from all over the globe a stage to show their artistic and musical inspirations.

Rollo is also the A&R of 'Symphonic Vibes', a label which was created out of a need to turn out lasting music, with substance as well as style. The label was launched in April 2007 with the aim to highlight fresh new talent as well as producers that despite having a number of amazing releases do not seem to be getting the exposure they deserve.

Rollo's infectious personality and musical taste is what really puts him a step above a lot of DJ's who are out there. With his out-going perspective, the future is definitely looking bright for this promising talent as he continues to push the limits of electronic music.
