Born from Italian parents, Onirik is a dj from Brussels, currently living in London. After a few years of listening to electronic music and clubbing he decides to buy his own decks and spin records for fun. It soon becomes an obsession to escape bedroom deejaying and share the passion for electronic sounds. His musical choices oscillate between deep-house, dub-house, micro-house, acid-house, tech-house, old-school electro, dubstep and other hybrids that are spreading these days. This eclectic approach allows him to play in a very versatile way depending on the event, adapting to different atmospheres, but never neglecting quality.
From 2004 to 2007 Onirik has been involved in the Belgian underground electronic music scene (N.E.M.O., Nuit Blanches, Quality Beats, Dali’s Bar, Doucha Bar, West Side) and has gained international experience by playing in several countries (U.K., Belgium, El Salvador, Italy). Since he moved to London, in September 2007, he has been co-organizing two events (MELT IT! & FOREPLAY) with Ben from Wir Spielen and has already performed in venues such as Café 1001, Aquarium, Cosmo Bar and Corbet Place. At the moment Onirik is launching a series of MELT IT! parties in Milan (in collaboration with the Funk The System collective) and learning music production with the up and coming producer Rico Casazza.
