Born in Lima, Peru, this rising South American talent has had a passion for music for as long as he can remember. He’s always been fascinated by a wide range of musical styles; however he was captivated by Lima's rave scene in 2000 and has been infatuated with it ever since.
In the early years he was influenced by the masters Sasha and John Digweed and then by the innovators of the funkier style he’s gravitated towards today, Desyn Masiello and Luke Fair. Spinning with a maturity well beyond his youthful enthusiasm, Paul Trelles is wowing the underground with deep, sexy and smooth sounds that are all class.
Paul has been invited to spin at local clubs like G-Lounge (Gotica), Home (Pt. Hermosa), MAIN (Asia), Mama's Bar (Asia), Voluntarios Bar (Miraflores). But it’s his private party sets that have become legendary to his local crew and have helped him fine tune his skills which are now enjoyed on airwaves well beyond the Peruvian borders.
Since he introduced himself to the EDM scene as FunkMedia in 2007, Paul has delivered a steady stream of quality mixes that have garnered the attention of a worldwide audience. Recently, he’s been invited to play on globally recognized radio shows such as Proton Radio (USA), Radio 1 (Dubai), Afterhours 99.1FM (Peru), Planeta.FM (Poland), Pure.FM (USA) and the list just continues to grow.
His acute ear for quality house has also led Paul to work as A&R for three labels, Brown Eyed Boyz Records (France), In Deep Records (Poland) and Cromarti Records (USA). With the support of these super cool labels, and so much already accomplished at such a young age, expect to hear the name Paul Trelles for a long time to come.
