Alex Tsiridis has grown up in both the U.K and Greece, dividing his time equally between the two. Originally producing left-field electronica (major influences noted from Warp records and others such as Four Tet and The Books) he began producing 4/4 by experimenting with samples from the traditional Greek bouzouki.
This led to his first 12" release, Bouzouki Several on Gumption recordings. Other releases followed on Berlin's Distcrict of Corruption and the techno giant Trapez. His releases have taken him to several clubs throughout Europe, most notably Berlin's Watergate.
In September 2008, Tsiridis was Greece's representative at the Red Bull Music Academy which took place in Barcelona. After this extremely valuable experience Tsiridis felt the need to develop his sound moving more into the deeper, raw side of techno, examples of which will surface soon on Kevin Gorman's Mikrowave label, as well as others. Also of note is his recent side-project as Slipdress, which could simply be described as bass music.
