When performing, you can see him playing dj sets, and mainly Live sets, which are the interpretation of his own production.
2009 saw Rico Casazza start ‘Release Sustain’ with Altino fernandez and Gabbi Lopez; a digital record label focusing on releasing neo minimalist progressive, tech house. The label has gone from strength to strength with 12 releases under its belt ver 20 artists. Release Sustain’s future looks bright with projects in the pipeline, starting with the next upcoming release: Rico Casazza’s EP “flutes liebe”, with remixes of Brendon Moeller, and Bearight.
Rico Casazza’s heart lies within making music, not only playing it. Since his move to London and a head first dive into producing, we see his taste and style is variable, from deep and minimal led techno to melancholic and beautifully crafted ambient moods. Rico’s musical textures span across genres – never putting themselves into a definitive place.
His recent ambient work released with Bonzai Music adds another dimension to his electronic works. Early classical studies come into play with delicate composition and sensual elements. Turning to his tech house work, strong with minimal influence, it’s dark and moody, with a heavy soul and groove concept. Successions of complex sampling weave their way through a mind tripping base of crunchy and raw techno whilst retaining a melodic listening experience rare within the walls of ‘techno’.
