Portable Sunsets is the solo project of musician and artist Peter Segerstrom. Developing out of Peter's experiences growing up on the shores and hills of California, His music is about silicon sand and android romance. Floating somewhere between crystal sharp techno and ancient blurry faded love songs, Portable Sunsets is a technological vision quest sound track.

The debut album Mercy by Portable Sunsets will be released on the newly minted Magical Properties label based in Los Angeles in late spring. This record brings textural subtleties cued by Brian Eno and Tim Hecker shifting towards alert but languid beats leaning to Kompakt and the Pampa label. Mercy isn't bound to an era or a genre and only promises the iconic and not the temporary. Mercy is a ghost town in California. Mercy is a welcome fog.
Portable Sunsets has opened for Matthew Dear, Richie Hawtin, Plaid, John Tejada, and The Field, He has done studio work with Richard Devine, Venitian Snares, Thomas Feldman, Alva Noto and many others.
