For those of you that favour a nice experimental blend of house and techno then this one is definitely for you. The 11th release on Catch Recordings has been left to the creative hands of Brazilian artist Horos, who delivers his 4 track ‘Labyrinth’ EP.
First up, ‘The Sea Of Crete’ leads us into the track with a nice suspenseful build up, followed by the increasing chords that drop us into the thumping kick drum. The consistent flow of the track draws you in and out of the elements, making this one a stand alone favourite. Stripping it back, ‘Ethereal’ serves us up a defiant kick and bassline, allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves as the onset of spacious synths takes the track into the deep realms. Up next
Up next Horos provides us with a dark and menacing 6 minute cut entitled ‘Kthon’, scattered with synths and a heavy rolling bass that makes this sure to be heard burrowed in amongst the deepest sets. ‘Descends’ finishes off the already polished EP. It does exactly what the title says, drawing us down into an atmospheric pool of sounds.
